Weekend Recap:
 
PNW continued their U9 dominance on the ice this weekend with wins against Watson/Teslin, Castle Rock and the U9 Girls to finish 1st place in the Pool A. In the quarter finals, PNW beat Watson/Teslin to set up a repeat of the 2024 Christmas Jamboree finals in a semi-final game against Big Bear. The semi-final game ended in a 2-2 tie after regulation time, setting up a shootout. PNW squeaked by Big Bear in the 4th round of the shootout and moved onto the finals against Kilrich. PNW managed to end Kilrich's strong weekend showing in the finals to take the Championship undefeated.
 
Castle Rock ended up finishing 2nd in Pool A after beating Watson/Teslin and the U9 Girls. Castle Rock faced a strong game against Kilrich in the quarter finals and where they were relegated to the 5th-8th place games.Castle Rock ultimately fell to Haines Junction/Carmacks in a dramatic shootout with some favourable posts going to visiting time. Castle Rock ended their weekend tied for 7th/8th.
 
Watson/Teslin ended up finishing 3rd in Pool A after beating the U9 Girls, however, fell to PNW and Castle Rock. Waston/Teslin ended up being the 2nd - 3rd rank team in all the pools and squared off against PNW in the quarter finals, however, came up short. Watson/Teslin rebounded from their loss against PNW to beat Klondike Chev to end their weekend tied for 5th/6th.
 
The U9 Girls had a fun weekend of hockey participating in Pool A with PNW, Castle Rock and Watson/Teslin. The U9 Girls came out of Pool A in 4th place and squared off against Canadian Tire in the consolation playdowns. Despite a strong game, the U9 Girls fell to Canadian Tire. In their final game, the U9 Girls faced a tough visiting team from Dawson City and ended their weekend in 12th.
 
Big Bear had a slow start to the weekend, suffering losses to Haines Junction/Carmacks in their first game and Klondike Chev in their second game in Pool B. Big Bear rebounded to beat Wildstone in their third game and ended up being the 1st - 3rd rank team in all the pools, setting them up for a rematch against Haines Junction/Carmacks. In the quarter finals, Big Bear was able to play a strong game and beat Haines Junction/Carmacks to set up a rematch against PNW in the semi-finals. PNW ultimately beat Big Bear in the 4th round of a shootout. In the bronze medal game, Big Bear fell to a strong Red Beard team, finishing their weekend in 4th.
 
Haines Junction/Carmacks had a strong showing in their Pool B play beating Big Bear and then Klondike Chev. Even after suffering a loss to Wildstone, Haines Junction/Carmacks took 1st place in Pool B. In a strong semi-finals game against Big Bear, Haines Junction/Carmacks fell short and were relegated to the 5th-8th place games. Haines Junction/Carmacks rebounded against Castle Rock with a shootout win to finish their weekend tied for 5th/6th.
 
Like Big Bear, Wildstone had a slow start to the weekend suffering losses to Klondike Chev in their first game and Big Bear in their second game in Pool B. Wildstone rebounded against Haines Junction/Carmacks with a win, however, ended up finishing 4th in Pool B. In the consolation playdowns, Wildstone had a strong Sunday, starting with a win against Dawson City and finishing with a win against Canadian Tire to finish their weeknd in 9th.
 
Klondike Chev had a strong showing in their Pool B play beating Wildstone and Big Bear. In their game against Haines Junction/Carmacks, Klondike Chev fell short but finished Pool B in 2nd place. In the quarter finals game, Klondike Chev ran into a strong Red Beard team, were ultimately downed and were relegated to the 5th-8th place games. In their final game against Watson/Teslin, Klondike Chev fell to the visiting team and finished their weekend tied for 7th/8th.
 
Kilrich were the surprise team of the weekend cruising through their pool play with wins against Red Beard, Dawson City and Canadian Tire to take 1st place a top of Pool C. Kilrich continued their strong play and ice dominance, knocking off the high scoring Castle Rock team in the quarter finals, then defeating Red Beard in the semi-finals to set up a finals against PNW. Despite a strong final game, Kilrich fell short against PNW and ended their weekend in 2nd.
 
Despite a loss to Kilrich in their first Pool C game, Red Beard rebounded to win against Dawson City and Canadian Tire to take 2nd place in Pool C. In their quarter final match up against Klondike Chev, Red Beard was able to advance to set up a semi-finals game against Kilrich. Red Beard could not cool the hot Kilrich team and were sent off to play Big Bear in the bronze medal game. Red Beard rebounded from their semi-finals loss to top Big Bear to end their weekend in 3rd.
 
Dawson City had a strong showing in their pool play games, however, were in tough against Kilrich, Red Beard and Canadian Tire. After finishing 4th in Pool C, Dawson City had a strong consolation game against Wildstone, but fell short. In their final game of the weekend, Dawson City were able to overcome the U9 Girls to get their first win of the weekend and finished their weekend 11th.
 
Canadian Tire had a strong showing in their Pool C game against Dawson City with a solid win. Despite strong games against Red Beard and Kilrich, Canadian Tire finished in 3rd place in Pool C and ultimately the 3rd - 3rd ranked team in all the pools, moving them to the consolation side. Canadian Tire defeated the U9 Girls in their first consolation game, but fell in their final game to Wildstone, ending their weekend in 10th.

  • 4th - Big Bear
  • Tied 5th/6th - Watson/Teslin & Haines Junction/Carmacks
  • Tied 7th/8th - Klondike Chev & Castle Rock
  • 9th - Wildstone
  • 10th - Canadian Tire
  • 11th - Dawson City
  • 12th - U9 Girls
