When registering- Please register your player in their Division (even if trying out for the Mustangs) and then add Skills, Tryouts etc to your player's packages.

All returning members will have until August 17th  to register without additional fees. After August 17th -returning player’s registrations will be charged an additional $100 and have the potential of being placed on a wait list. Please register before the August 17th deadline so we can plan accordingly.

Please note, we are doing as much pre-planning as possible and wait lists might become a possibility-those who register before the August 17th deadline will be given preference.

WMHA is working with BC Hockey, Yukon Health and Hockey Yukon to ensure all programming we are able to provide is in accordance with the phased approaches and health guidelines.

2019-2020 Program Details and Division Overviews


The information below will give you a baseline understanding of what each division's basic scheduling may be for the upcoming season. These are subject to change only slightly based on registration numbers,  ice availability and COVID-19 restrictions

U7 (Tykes/Timbits) 2014-2015  6&7 years old

2 ice times per week for approximately 28 weeks (Sunday mornings & Tuesday early evenings)

Practices: 2 x 1 hour ice times per week. Combined into skills and fun games.

Tykes will be on half ice at the CGC with rink dividers.  

 

U9 (Novice) 2012-2013  7&8 years old

3 ice times per week for approximately 28 weeks

Game: 1 x 1.25 hour ice time per week (Friday evenings &/or Sunday late mornings)

Practice: 1 x 1 hour ice time per week (Saturday morning or the odd afternoon)

Skills: 1 x 1 hour ice time per week (Tuesday evening) *included in registration cost

Novice games will be on half ice at the CGC with rink dividers.

 

U11 (Atom) 2010-2011 9&10 years old

3 ice times per week for approximately 28 weeks

Game: 1 x 1.25 hour ice time per week (Wednesday &/or Sunday morning)

Practice: 1 x 1 hour ice time per week (Saturday afternoon)

Skills: 1 x 1 hour ice time per week (Thursday evening) *included in registration cost

 

U13 (Pee Wee) 2008-2009 11&12 years old

2 ice times per week for approximately 28 weeks

Games: 1 x 1.25 hour ice time per week (Monday)

Practice: 1 x 1 hour ice time per week (Saturday afternoon)

Skills (optional) $250: 1 x 1 hour ice time per week (Wednesday)

3 ice times when optional skills is chosen 

 

U15 (Bantam) 2006-2007 13&14 years old

3 ice times per week if optional skills is chosen for approximately 28 weeks

Game: 2 x 1.25 hour ice time per week

Practice: 1 x 1 hour ice time per week every 3rd Sunday

Skills (optional) $250: 1 x 1 hour ice time per week *

*Based on demand

  

U18 (Midget) 2003-2004-2005 15,16 &17 years old

Game: 2 x 1.25 hour ice time per week (Friday & Monday)

Skills (optional) $295: 1 x 1 hour ice time per week *

Development  Program Information

*All players on in the Development  Program MUST BE PLAYING ON ANOTHER WHITEHORSE MINOR HOCKEY TEAM. You can NOT just attend development ice times, games or functions.

All Development and Mustangs "teams" are operated under the Whitehorse Minor Hockey umbrella

U15/U18/Female Development

All players must register in their respective division with WHITEHORSE MINOR HOCKEY asap and then register to TRYOUT FOR Female Development on the Whitehorse Minor Hockey website. If your player is successful in making the Mustangs, your registration fees will be transferred accordingly. There is a $40 development team tryout fee

For the upcoming season WHMHA is endeavouring the provide Mustangs teams in the following divisions; U13, U15, U18 and FEMALE U18. This offering will be based on player registration and interest as well as COVID-19 restrictions and travel guidelines-so please ensure you indicate your interest early by registering for the appropriate Mustangs Tryouts so we can plan accordingly.
