Atom Development Team Wins GOLD In Squamish!

Feb. 18, 2019

The WMHA Atom Development team took home the GOLD again!

Our very own Atom Dev wins gold over host Squamish team in final with a 2-1 win in the Atom A Family Day Long Weekend Tournament this past weekend.

The team did great.  Friday's first game against Richmond was a 3-0 win & a game against Surrey was a 7-0 win.  Saturday's game against Burnaby was 6-1 for Whs and that was the first game in 7 where a goal was scored again the Atom Dev team.  Sunday they played Ridge Meadows with a nail biter 5-4 win which put them in place to go for gold against Squamish with Kadyn O'Brien scoring 2 goals & Cache Leonard scoring 1 goal to make it a 2-1 win.

This is the 2nd tournament this season that the team took part in and won 1st place.  They won gold in Salmon Arm in November as well, coming home with no goals scored against them.  They are a solid team and a great bunch of kids that have fun and play hard.

Congratulations to the Atom Development team
